Two Thoughts - Colon & Colvin

Couldn't resist a quick post on the latest news:

• Sox sign Bartolo Colon to a minor league contract. How does this not make sense? He stinks - no big deal. He's great - Sox are unbeatable.
• Pats waive Colvin as a cap casualty. What? A team that's already thin (and old) at linebacker cuts one of its youngest and best linebackers (Adelius Thomas being the other?) I know he's had injury problems but how about we try and restructure his contract?
