What Red Sox pitcher holds the record for lowest ERA for a single season?

Hint: He wasn't born in the Netherlands.

Hubert Benjamin Leonard (nicknamed "Dutch") pitched for the Red Sox from 1913 to 1918. In 1914, he went 19-5 and had a .95 ERA, the 2nd best season MLB has ever seen.* During that season he went 19-5, threw 224.2 innings, had 17 complete games and 7 shutouts.


*The best ERA for a season was turned in by Tim Keefe in 1880, when they threw 50 feet and he only pitched 105 innings.
